粤港澳-2019深圳花展,在深圳植物园竹园的三岔路口,一个颇似浪花的造型伫立期间,两旁排布种植了大片的花卉,高低相间,错落有致,仿佛是一片托起鲜花的海浪,引得游人纷纷驻足。上前细观,方才意识到,原来这浪花的造型,竟是由竹子编制而成!这就是建筑师谢军先生为这次花展精心创作的现代竹编公共艺术品“潮”。

《潮》,既可以指新潮,也可以想象成浪花席卷而来,勇猛而激烈地与岸边礁石拍打的画面。它代表的是一种大胆的创新与求变,在造型方面,大量地采用了极具现代感的曲线和弧线。在材料和工艺方面,我们采用了手编、麻绳捆扎、竹钉固定、放样模型等传统手法,同时也融入了3D打印、金属构件、玻璃、数控造型等新技术和新材料,让竹制品与现代技术接轨。

In terms of materials and processes, we have adopted traditional techniques such as hand knitting, hemp rope binding, bamboo nail fixing, and lofting model. At the same time, we have incorporated new technologies and new materials such as 3D printing, metal components, glass, and numerical control modeling to make bamboo products. 对于中国人,竹不只是一种材料,更多的时候,我们会植入一种人文情怀在里面。我国对竹的记载可追溯到新石器时代,我记得在仰韶文化遗存的刻画符号和殷商时期的甲骨文中就有了象形的‘竹’字。在诗经中也曾用‘瞻彼淇奥,绿竹猗猗’来称赞他人,到了唐宋时期,更是有大量的文人墨客吟咏过竹,元明清时期,更有我们都熟悉的郑板桥创作的《竹石》。可以说,竹的精神贯穿中国的历史文化,这种中空外直,不蔓不枝,刚正不阿,清廉高洁的精神是古往今来文人墨客的精神品格的象征,也是其他民族感受中国文化的一个门户,这一点在何明先生的《中国竹文化小史》中有过详细的著述。

In the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Zheng Banqiao, which we are all familiar with, “Bamboo Stone”. It can be said that the spirit of bamboo runs through the history and culture of China. This kind of hollowness is straight, not fragrant, and it is just right, the spirit of cleanliness and purity is the symbol of the spiritual character of the literati and the modern people, and it is also a gateway for other people to feel Chinese culture. There is a detailed writing in Mr. He Ming’s “Small History of Chinese Bamboo Culture”.

长久以来,建筑对于美观、实用、坚固三原则的追求从未停歇,但结构形式的系统性变革仍处于襁褓期。无节制地开采、滥用建筑材料带来的种种问题,人们正在自食恶果,而竹子这类生态环保的本土天然建材,优点便愈发突出:足以建造新型的整体性可持续利用的建筑结构,同时将地域文化、现代技术与实用性完美融合。
