The field study began with a trip to Rittenhouse Square Park and an examination of its features, layout, and usage. My site plan below portrays all the factors that contributed to the design of my facilities.
My design in plan was based off the idea of moving people from one location in the park to another while keeping nature in sight the entire time.
The design allows for the shower, sinks, or toilet to be used at the same time without invading the privacy of others. (As that was a primary concern for those who occupy the park.
Using pocket doors, I was able to minimize the size of the building, preventing the overuse of the park space.
