The Pousada de Valença opened in 1962, a project by architect João de Mello Breyner Andresen. This Pousada embraces the Vale do Rio Minho from the green Portuguese banks to the Galician progress which involves the Tui cathedral. Situated on the frontier with Spain on top of the historical centre and the fortified Valença, the Pousada of São Teótonio has a magnificent view of the neighbouring lands resting on the town’s walls, where you can feel the harmony of nature in an idyllic setting.
