is located in Stromberg in Rhineland-Palatinate on the south-eastern edge of the Hunsrück mountains. Above the little village of Stromberg, the castle lies on an extended spur of the mountain from where you have an outstanding panoramic view over the landscape.
In 1994, Johann Lafer and his wife bought the castle and have succeeded since then in establishing one of the most famous gourmet addresses in Germany. The Stromburg houses two restaurants and a hotel with the Le Val d’Or and the Bistro d’Or. High demands on quality apply for the Lafers not only in the kitchen, but also in the hotel. The 14 rooms are modern and stylishly designed and impress with high-quality materials and elegant furnishings. White walls and warm sand tones define the colour concept. The selective use of lights and indirect lighting creates an atmosphere and a good feeling for the guests.
The high standards set for the interior equipment also include the electrical installation. LS 990 in classic brass and dark integrate perfectly into the exquisite rooms.
