West Harbour is the west end of Lake Ontario which was once a glacial lake, Lake Iroquois, that receded; generating waterfront sites for aquatic habitat, urban settlement and industry based on the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River — Canada’s extensive system of water-based transportation.The City of Hamilton ran a competition, inviting development teams to submit their interpretations of the proposed space. The Watefront Shores Corporation won this bid, teaming up with KPMB Architects, gh3 Inc., superkül, and Omar Gandhi Architect. The renderings created (and shown below) were included in the proposal and marketing materia.
