WESTLAKE MULTI USE BUILDING - ENCINITAS, CA (Wolf of Westlake mural)
Collaboration with
Skye Walker.
8,000 sq ft piece wrapping around the entire building.
Spraypaint and brushed acrylics on raw concrete.
Skye Walker reached out to me about a newly updated building in Encinitas that a client wanted to bring some life, movement and color to the space, which ended up being 3 out of 4 sides of the building top and bottom and inside as well. The building houses multiple disciplines of Boxing, Jiujitsu, Yoga, physical therapy and more, with people of all ages moving in and out of the building throughout the day and night.
With over 8,000 sq ft of coverage I created a series of geometric gradient shapes to where at two points of the mural, weave through and interact with two wolves that Skye painted to bring our styles together. We played a lot with all the. angles and shapes the building made to have a somewhat continuous movement of shapes.
Over the. course of 12 days we carefully sculpted and created over 33 gradient shapes inside and outside of the building along with two giant wolves to guard the site.
