Indonesian-based architect Ishaq Rochman reveals his proposal for a floating maritime center in Indonesian water next to Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara. The project offers marine activities and adventures in line with the ecological footprint and circular economic model by complementary aspects including the future development as a gap of the blue-showcase that balanced of culture, economy, and environment — seeks to promote and conservated the exoticism and uniqueness of the Flores marine biota, today and in the future.
A ‘low impact’ approach was adopted to avoid disturbing the existing maritime landscape and heritage. specifically, he also proposed a multi-level management design to control the user's activity and intensity of spatial programs around the area by the boundaries of what is acceptable and in line with the project’s sustainable values.
The chlorophyll cavity pigment designed the structures and built architectural forms through sustainable and self-sufficiency ecosystem for marine biota ecosystems that resistant to buoyancy forces.
