上海地铁14号线豫园站位于城市核心区，它毗邻城隍庙和外滩，与陆家嘴隔江相望。这个区域融汇了东西方、历史与当代的多重风貌，不仅是上海的一处文化地标，也是一个城市景区。豫园站不仅作为城市公共交通的重要节点，也是这个区域的门户，是游览的起点。

Yuyuan Station on Shanghai Metro Line 14 is located in the heart of the city, adjacent to the ChenghuangMiao (City God Temple) and the Bund, the high-rise skyline of Lujiazui is right across the Huangpu River. This area is not only a cultural landmark in Shanghai, but also an urban scenic spot, as it combines the East and West, historical and contemporary styles. Yuyuan Station not only serves as an important node for public transportation in the city, but also as a gateway to this area and a starting point for tours.

作为是上海下挖最深的地铁站，墙、柱、楼板层高等土建条件不可改变，为站厅设计带来挑战。其次，站点区域的文化元素丰富，不能以简单的符号来粗暴概括，设计形式回应场地元素是个无法回避的命题作文。

As the deepest subway station in Shanghai, the civil conditions such as walls, columns and floor layers cannot be changed, which brings challenges to the Interior design. Moreover, the cultural elements in the station area are rich and cannot be summarized crudely by simple symbols, and how design responding to the site elements is a proposition that cannot be avoided.

从豫园站上车去浦东，头顶其实正是黄浦江。豫园站的天花呈现水波状的曲线，视觉化了这个真实存在却不易察觉的体验。这些曲线天花的“水浪”拍打到柱子上，形成有节奏的脉动。——如果把地铁比作上海的城市动脉，那么在最深的豫园站，仿佛可以感受到城市的脉搏。

When you get on the train from Yuyuan Station to Pudong, the Huangpu River is actually overhead. The curved water wave-like ceiling of Yuyuan Station visualizes this imperceptible experience. These “waves” lap onto the columns, creating a rhythmic pulsation. –If the subway is compared to the arteries of the city of Shanghai, then at Yuyuan, the deepest station, it is as if you can feel the pulse of the city.

拍打到柱体上的天花“浪尖”，曲线经过多次调整，拟合城隍庙的飞檐，只不过是朝下的，作为“飞檐在水中的倒影”。利用柱廊横向与纵向曲面相切，一举同时生成“西方的拱廊“和“东方的飞檐”——这就是豫园站厅的基本几何逻辑，巧妙而含蓄地回应了多个场地元素。

The curvature of the “wave tip” is adjusted to fit the form of eaves of the City God Temple, except that it is facing downward as the “reflection of the Chinese eaves in the water”. The horizontal and vertical curves of the colonnade are tangent to each other, creating a “Western arcade” and an “Eastern eave” at the same time – this is the basic geometric logic of the Yu Yuan Station Hall, subtly and implicitly echoes multiple cultural elements of the site.

豫园站的柱廊平面为适应轨道分合而呈枣核形，站厅天花管线分布也不是均质的。因此曲面单元不能简单重复，而需要采用参数化技术进行生成设计，在适应变化的基础上，优化非标单元数量，以便加工生产和指导安装。

The plan of Yuyuan station is shaped to accommodate the track splitting and merging, and the distribution of ceiling pipes in the station hall is not homogeneous either. Therefore, the curved units cannot be simply repeated. Parametric design technology is adapted to generate forms and optimize the number of non-standard units on the basis of fitting to changes, in order to control the cost of mass production and installation.

水波天花由上几万片铝板切割、弯折、拼接而成，与灯光相结合，形成一个大型的三维LED天幕，可以呈现各种光效。除了预设的几种基本效果，未来也能结合不同的节日事件，呈现不同的光色。例如，国庆和春节可以有中国红；情人节七夕可以飘撒花瓣，等等。

The water wave ceiling is made of tens of thousands of aluminum panels cut, bent and spliced. The ceiling system is combined with lighting to form a large three-dimensional LED canopy that can present a variety of light effects. In addition to the preset several basic effects, It is able to present different lighting performances, according to different holiday events, Such as a China-Red for the National Day and the Spring Festival, Pink and flower petals for Valentine’s Day.

建筑空间可以由太阳光影赋予灵魂，豫园的地下空间则全部依赖天花的流光溢彩。这个LED天幕是开源的，可以开放给公众进行投稿，大家共同参与塑造豫园站的空间光影。

While architectural spaces can be given soul by the sun’s light, Yuyuan Station’s underground space relies entirely on the flow of light from the ceiling. This LED canopy is open source and can be opened to the public for submission, so that everyone can participate in shaping the spatial light and color of Yuyuan Garden Station.

豫园站最初是作为“公共艺术”站点来定位策划的，未来站厅里可能会被摆上某个艺术家的装置雕塑。但我更喜欢的公共艺术方式，是来自空间自身，来自于空间中的普通人。例如，摆一架钢琴，你可能会听到来自陌生人的旋律；留一面墙或画布，你也许会收获意向不到的涂鸦。我也希望豫园站成为这样的画布，公众参与其中，为她注入持续的，多彩的灵魂。

Yuyuan Station was originally planned as a “public art” site, so it may be decorated with an artist’s installation sculpture in the future. But the kind of public art that I prefer comes from the space itself, and from the ordinary people in the space. For example, if you put up a piano, you may hear a melody from a stranger; if you leave a wall or a canvas, you may get some unexpected graffiti. I also hope that Yuyuan Station will become such a canvas, where the public will continuously participate and infill various, colorful souls into it.
