DESIGN OF COLORS This is a tea ceremony room installed in a top floor of an office building. Dirt floor is for waiting space and Tatami-mat floor for the ceremony. To have the walls to be perceived in a homogeneous color, corners are rounded and walls are painted in “yellows”, which are slightly different to each other. It is a manipulation to give an even effect to human eyes even in circumstances that daylight changes as the time goes. The window installed at the bottom is an traditional method called “YUKIMI SHOJI- snow viewing window”, which is a window to give only a ground view to the inhabitants, where moss is grown.
