Inspired by the aesthetic of the medical field, white was the color of choice for this dental clinic, leaving a sense of immaculate lightness and openness.
The concept was to divide the space in two distinct sections: a private side for the clinic and a public side for the reception, waiting room and offices. Both in terms of interior spaces (choice of finishes) and treatment of the exterior facade, we feel the delimitation of those two functions.
A long and white counter, running from the entrance door to the waiting room, supports the fluid and openness of the clinic. The use of wood for the closets, washroom doors and wall, brings a warm touch to the waiting area. Laboratory, sterilisation, storage cabinet and consultation room are located in the center of the clinic, leaving the treatment rooms around the perimeter, giving them a direct access to exterior views. On the top floor, a cafeteria and offices are bathed with light.
The floor plan favors circulation axes with a visual breakthrough on the outside. It allows inner-outer relationship. Even from the inside, the doors to access each room are aligned with the windows to maximize the entry of light all through the corridor. A garden was also built at the back of the building.
The choice of sustainable but yet noble materials, such as white brick, wood, ceramic, was made to support the aesthetics.
