三眼井历史街区位于中国一个有千年历史的城市——南昌，项目地处老城区的中心地带，整个区域根据历史遗迹“三眼井” 来命名，三眼井历史风貌区和南昌著名的滕王阁、万寿宫、八一广场历史风貌区在同一个保护级别。这些地段集中体现了南昌名城特色。

The project is located in Nanchang, a city with a thousand years of history in China. It is in the heart of the old city.The surrounding area is named after a historical site called “Three Eyes Well”. Sanyanjing Historic Feature Area is in the same protection level as the famous Tengwang Pavilion, Longevity Palace and Bayi Square historic Feature Area in Nanchang. These sections reflect the characteristics of Nanchang city.

从城市档案馆存放的几张历史城市地图可以看到，红色是基地位置。在几百年前这里就是南昌古城的核心城区，基地内有很多各历史时期保留下来的不同风格的建筑.保持着从清末到民国以及文革和近代的不同的风貌。

Here are some historical maps we found in the archives. Red area is the location of our site.Hundreds of years ago, it was the core city of Nanchang, so there are many different styles of buildings preserved in the site from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China and modern times.

除个别几栋历史保护建筑外，绝大部分建筑都已很破败。但是经过实地考察之后团队认为，正是这叠加了很多历史时期的丰富建筑个性，才是这块基地的最大特点。如果将这些整合到商业街区设计中，将会是非常有趣的挑战。

Except for a few historic protection buildings, most of them are dilapidated. However, after investigation, we think that it is the architectural personality in many historical periods that is the biggest feature of this base. If they are integrated into the new community, it will be very interesting.

场地中最主要的几条街道有几百年的历史，作为商业街的主要流线，并未按照现代商业街的尺度，而是保留了相对狭窄的原有尺度。 主街宽度在四米到十米之间，以主要流线为核心设计一些大小和功能各不相同的花园和小广场串联起所有的商业店铺。结合广场做可以容纳各类型的市民活动和商业活动，同时，在每个入口广场都至少可以看到两三种不同历史风貌的建筑，对外也可以形成独有的商业街界面。

The main streets in the site have a history of hundreds of years. As the main streamline of the commercial street, we did not follow the common scale of the commercial street, but retained the relatively narrow original scale. The width of the two main streets is between 4 meters and 10 meters. With the main streamline as the core, some gardens and small squares with different sizes and functions are designed to connect all the commercial shops. At least two or three different architecture styles can be seen in each entrance square. It can also form a unique commercial street interface.

场地内的建筑风格主要分为三大类: 第一类是历史保护建筑，需要原貌复建; 第二类是还原历史风貌的建筑，反应所在历史时期的建筑特点; 第三类是结合场地元素的新建建筑。 不同类别的新建建筑都跟原有场地内的建筑有联系，没有一栋是孤立于场地而单独存在的。

According By combing, we divide the buildings into 3 categories: 1、The original building is reserved or rebuilt as it was. 2、It’s not rebuilt as it is, but it retains the architectural style of the time. 3、Integrate individual historical elements into new buildings. All the buildings are more or less related to the original buildings in the site, and none of them is isolated from the context.

在整个设计过程中，给人印象特别深刻的几栋建筑最能代表场地内建筑的多样性。万安云升试馆是一栋用有几百年历史的保护建筑，清朝的时候，上京赶考的考生会住在此地作为途中的一个休息站。由于历史久远，其中一部分构件年久失修，我们对建筑进行了整体的测绘，保留了大部分的石材构件，砖头和木头替换为新材料。

During the design process, several of the buildings were particularly impressive and most representative of the architectural diversity of the site. Wan ‘an Yunsheng Test Hall is a centuries-old conservation building that was used as a rest stop during the Qing Dynasty for examinees on their way to Beijing. Due to its long history, some of the components fell into disrepair, so we mapped the whole building, retained most of the stone components, and replaced bricks and wood with new materials.

对南昌当地传统赣剧古戏台进行复建，用跟以前一样纯木构做法，复原了一个古色古香的戏台——木构赣剧戏台，作为商业广场聚集人群的活力舞台。

The local traditional Jiangxi opera stage in Nanchang was rebuilt. We used the same pure wood construction as before to restore an antique stage — ganju stage made of wood as a dynamic stage for gathering crowds in the commercial square.

在场地中心位置有一栋建于上世纪七十年代的红砖四层住宅，建筑上的很多做法和构件很有代表性。这栋建筑虽然不是历史保护建筑，但是红砖、预制栏杆等立面元素有助于延续地块的记忆，并作为标志性建筑正对东侧广场入口。

At the heart of the site is a four-story red-brick house built in the 1970s. Many components in the building are very representative. Although not a historic preservation building, facade elements such as red brick and prefabricated railings help to preserve the site’s memory and serve as a landmark building facing the entrance to the square on the east side.

场地中也有些建筑原本属于违章搭建，但是搭建的手法和砖墙的肌理非常有趣。我们从中提取了这些建筑元素应用在新的商业建筑上，建成后作为一个咖啡馆供人们休闲聚友，咖啡馆的名字也很贴合我们的设计概念：雕刻时光。

Some of the buildings on the site were originally illegal, but the way it was built and the texture of the brick walls were very interesting. We extracted these architectural elements and applied them to new commercial buildings. When completed, it will serve as a café for people to meet and relax, the name also fits our design concept: sculpting time.

相对较新的八九十年代的建筑，从这些建筑的墙面肌理提取元素，利用参数化的拼砖手法来生成新的墙面肌理。嵌入墙体的玻璃盒子刚好正对商业中心广场和木结构的戏台，成为空中的观景平台。

There are also some relatively new buildings from the 80s and 90s on the site. Elements are extracted from the wall texture of these buildings, and parametric techniques are used to generate new wall texture. The glass box is positioned directly opposite the commercial center square and the wooden stage. It can be used as a second-floor viewing platform.

校场东巷及校场西巷两条街的立面集合了从明朝到现代的多种多样的建筑风格。

The facade of the two streets, East lane and West Lane, combines a variety of architectural styles from the Ming Dynasty to modern times.

行走于其间，可以感受到时间的变迁给这个区域留下的印记。既有用现代的参数化建造方式建造的商铺，也有原汁原味的纯木结构戏台。会产生一种时空穿越的感觉。

Walking in the street, you can feel the imprint left by the change of time. There are not only shops built by modern parametric construction method, but also original wood structure stage. It creates a sense of time and space travel.

一条街穿越了时空，连接了历史和未来。在极富场所精神的街巷里，人们能感受到清末、民国、现代等不同历史时期的风貌。设计在此不仅助力提升了街区的形象和价值，还唤醒了传承百年的人文记忆，并激发当代的城市活力。

The street travels through time and space, and connects the past and the future. In the streets and alleys full of the spirit of the site, people can feel the style and features of different historical periods such as the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China, and modern times. The design here not only helps to enhance the image and value of the block, but also awakens the century-old cultural memory and stimulates the vitality of contemporary cities.

设计从业态要求、店招设计、灯光设计，设备机组布置等多方面都满足了现有功能的要求。建筑结构由老建筑砖混和木结构改为框架结构，满足了餐饮等业态布置。

The design meets the requirements of existing functions in many aspects, such as format requirements, shop recruitment design, lighting design and equipment unit layout. The structure of the building is changed from the old brick and wood structure to the frame structure, which satisfies the layout of catering and other formats.
