Hidden in the backstreets of Tokyo, the minimalist design of "Markʼs Tokyo" restaurant adds Japanese spices to Italian cuisine, where you can enjoy original dishes made with Japanese spices in Italian cuisine. The restaurant, designed by Kenta Nagai Studio, is located on a quiet street near the center of Tokyo's Meguro City. Chef Mark's design requirements for the restaurant were to make all guests feel as if they were eating in his kitchen.

Since Kenta Nagai Studio believes that food, chef and guests are the main characters of this space, it was decided to make it a simple structure without excessive decoration and to give the space a Japanese taste through white space. By making the best use of the existing walls and the elongated space with soft partitions, a private space and a small Japanese garden were created, while also being here to communicate with the chef.

For the edges of the walls, tables and shelves, Kenta Nagai Studio opted for warm wood types, and by hand-treating the curved surfaces at both ends, it gives it a presence of furniture rather than fixtures, giving the space a home-like quality. In addition, a flame-warm light is created by reflecting light on the custom copper, which also helps to create a comfortable space.
