Branding, desogn and refurbishment of the Day Hospital of The Paediatric Oncology department located in Vall Hebron Hospital in Barcelona
The objective was to expand and update the area dedicated to the paediatric oncology department.In other to achieve that it was necessary to redesign a new distribution, updating the interior finishes, installations, the façade, minimising the pathway in between the different spaces.
All these interventions helped to create a comfortable and calm atmosphere for the children, the family and for the medical team.Receiving a cancer treatment in a nice environment helps to decrease the stress in such difficult situation.
In terms of brand development, we created the concept “Care Park” to explain the idea behind all the cares the Hospital make to the pacients and family. All the graphics were created to enhance this idea through the different ambients as well as with a non invasive and functional system.
We chose materials that were easy to clean with low maintenance, also was important that they meet the hospital highly demanding regulation compliance.
