Catania Living Lab è il laboratorio del Comune di Catania e di IBAM-CNR sorto nel centro storico del capoluogo Etneo.  E’ nuovo spazio per la città all’interno del quale comunicare e rendere sempre più accessibile e condivisa la conoscenza del patrimonio architettonico, archeologico e culturale della città ed allo stesso tempo diventare punto di riferimento per studiosi, scolaresche o visitatori. Il Living Lab è un laboratorio user-centered, un’infrastruttura sperimentale dove l’utente è un attore che interagisce e contribuisce alla creazione di contenuti, idee o conoscenze specifiche. Il concept d'interni è quindi basato su un elemento attrattore centrale di forma circolare, funzionale sia alla organizzazione spaziale del lab che alla presentazione dei diversi contenuti multimediali ed interattivi. Il Catania Living Lab è finalista del Premio Smart Communities di SMAU 2015.

ENGLISH TEXT: Catania Living Lab is the laboratory of the Municipality of Catania and IBAM-CNR . It is a new space for the city in which is possible to communicate and share a variety of cultural contribution on architecture, archaeology and information on the city and, at the same time, this is a point of reference for scholars, students or visitors. A Living Lab is a user-centered laboratory, an experimental infrastructure where the user is an actor that cooperates and contributes to the creation of cultural content, ideas or knowledge. The interior design concept is thus based on an central attractor, a circular screen that creates a spatial distribution within the Lab defining a core area for multimedia and interactive contents. The Living Lab is a finalist of the Smart Communities Award of SMAU 2015.
