Vlaamsch Broodhuys was founded by Dimitri Roels in 1996 and has developed into a company that employs over 100 people. A wide range of bread and pastry is baked in its own bakery from where it is delivered to the Baker’s Cafés and many other restaurants. The balance between these two functions plays an important role in interior design, which has been in the hands of Ninetynine since 2014.
The location on Middenweg in Amsterdam is the first location with an all-day dining concept. In addition to the basic menu, this location also serves an evening menu and cocktails. The design is basically comparable to the other locations with a lot of black and white at the location of the bread presentation. A spacious bar and a full kitchen separate the sales part from the restaurant part. This area is marked by a 7 m long marble table with a cloud of classical ball lamps above it.
