85-meter apartment is located in an atmospheric absolutely Moscow's place, and its windows overlook the middle of the Patriarch's pond.
The owner of the apartment is an intelligent woman with a very delicate taste, a great pedant, treated every detail and every element with the utmost care, and did not "move" any decision until she was 100 percent sure of it. Thanks to this, the work on the project took several years, and the "way to photography" - for some time else. On the other hand, it allowed us to treat the details as we would like them to be treated in any project, but due to the circumstances it does not always work.
The task set by the customer was to create an absolutely modern, but not radical and unobtrusive interior, without excessive pathos, which would not be outdated for a long time.
The apartment was placed in a relatively new building of this district, 2nd half of the XX century. At the same time, the house did not look like a "black sheep" among the historical buildings, it was impregnated with the atmosphere of old Moscow, which was an advantage compared to the new ones which can also be found in the area.
The apartment was in pretty poor condition and required complete reconstruction, which was implemented. We immediately liked this space. The apartment was bright, with windows on two sides. Besides on both balconies we dismantled the windowsills, which made the space even more light and airy. Apartment had a fairly reasonable layout, so we did not change everything but just improved it.
The interior is dominated by white and warm gray colors, shaded by contrasting american walnut floor, doors and some furniture elements. When creating it, every object and every detail was long conceptualized before taking its place. In some cases, we designed a furniture elements that complement the style of factory ones, because the manufacturer could not offer the "ideal", which was required by the customer.
But the final image of the apartment was formed when it was filled and decorated, when the rack in the living room was filled with a large number of books, bright paintings appeared on the walls, and decorative elements on the shelves. Surprisingly, up to this point it seemed that in the verified space the elements of everyday human life will bring chaos, destroy its melancholic harmony/ But they filled it with life and made it sound.
