这是家具还是看台？还是屏风？

这是北京大学新太阳活动中心里的小剧场，日常课余同学们在此进行自修、讨论、社团排练活动，也可举办展览，周末、节日在此举行正式演出、联欢晚会等。

所以，看台设计成多功能的，可移动的：不同社团同时排练的时候，它们把空间分为几个区域；红色的小桌子既满足讨论，又是展览的展示台，还是象棋盘；有正式演出时，看台围合成弧形，形成完整的看台，配上临时凳子，可容纳300人观演。

空间还是那个空间，通过这件大家具设计，让小剧场充满无限可能，正是设计的价值所在。

Is this a piece of furniture, bleachers, or a screen?

Actually it is a small theatre in the New Sun Student Center of Peking University, where students can have a variety of activities such as self-study, group discussion, league or club rehearsals and exhibitions on a daily basis as well as official performances and evening parties on weekends and festivals.

Therefore the bleachers are designed to be multifunctional and movable: When different groups rehearse at the same time, they divide the space into several areas; The small red table not only meets the purpose for discussion, but also serves as display table for exhibition, or even chess board; When there is a formal performance, the bleachers can be arranged in an arc to form a complete terrace, and if equipped with temporary stools, it can accommodate 300 people.

Space is still the space, but through this “big furniture”, the small theatre is filled with infinite possibilities, which is exactly where the value of design lies in.
