Aromatic herbs, fresh fruits—Janda Juice at Ningbo CBD is not just bar restaurant in China, but also architects CH-LAB’s spatial interpretation of freshly squeezed juice as the progeny of fruits and herbs.
The design concept behind Janda Juice is encapsulated in where juice is made is a pure, white testing lab; a shape white tile textured creating a pure lab where fresh is brewed. The shop front play as a role of materials highlights and sometimes conceals the activities within, attracting visitors to double-take voyeuristic all the time.
Various scales and composition of concrete, parallelogram tile, green glass, and even hints of colors also add to this layer of intrigue with their unique translucencies. What started as a pure lab space, industrial juice zone thus becomes a 2-in-1 shop where juice and cake visually unite and compliment in tast.
