BE.STÉAK.Ă is located in Campbell, CA, USA and opened in February 2021. The 185-seat space includes a main dining room and bar with associated dining space, two private dining rooms, and two patios accessible from both the main dining space and the private dining rooms. The restaurant celebrates the culinary arts by highlighting the inherent juxtaposition of the raw and refined, as well as the focus on tactile and textured components. Details throughout the space create points of connection and the joining of unexpected materials and textures to form a cohesive aesthetic.
The color scheme varies from room to room, but overall features a neutral Italian coastal palate— with shades of white, blue, charcoal grey, copper, and terra cotta all complementing the light walnut features. Outside, two spacious covered patios run alongside the exterior of the restaurant, providing different seating options for guests. In the main dining room, sheer layered fabric panels span the length of a windowed wall, allowing natural light to softly fill the space. Dark toned wood ceiling paneling and booths meld with the soft white, gray, and blue tones used throughout the dining room. A terra-cotta feature wall anchors the dining room, grounding one’s eye.
The bar area flanks the dining room, and features a series of arches, enclaves, and wall cutouts to create the traditional intimacy of steakhouse booths, yet in a more contemporary and open approach. Patio heaters, custom banquets, and an outdoor fireplace help keep guests warm year-round while café string lights overhead illuminate the space at night. While BE.STÉAK.Ă pulls inspiration from the classic steakhouse concept, the space and design elements transcends beyond the typical steakhouse image. From the arches to the refreshing color scheme to the wood paneling, BE.STÉAK.Ă creates a whole new category of steakhouses, demonstrating excellence in a thoughtful and intentional design strategy.
