或许你会认为这是耸人听闻，但当今社会日益增长的儿童肥胖率、少儿多动症、忧郁症及其它心理疾病其实与儿童同自然接触时间长短密切相关。今天，电子产品环境下成长的一代人，普遍在生活中缺少与自然的接触，导致这一代儿童出现身体肥胖、注意力紊乱、性格暴躁和心理抑郁的现象显著增加。在美国，这种因缺少与自然接触而引发的行为与心理问题，被称为“自然缺失症”。孩子的自然缺失问题已成为世界性的社会问题，达到非常可怕的地步。在中国，这一现象更为严重。据调查，中国20个省市的小学、初中生中48.5%的孩子每周户外活动时间少于3小时，12.4%受调查者有自然缺失症倾向，且这一程度还在增加。为了缓解这一问题，美国、日本、韩国等近十个针对环境教育进行专门立法，最大强度推进环境教育，重建儿童与自然的联系。为了更好地连接大自然和儿童，设计师在北京延庆妫河上游城市森林项目中加入了环境教育功能，希望借此机会为儿童提供一个环境教育场所与设施，唤醒他们的生态意识。

理查德·洛夫当初写《林间最后的小孩》这本书的时候，主要是因为美国孩子的“自然缺失症”已经达到了一个可怕的地步，但是他显然不知道在大洋的彼岸，有一群孩子们正在患上更严重的“自然缺失症”。我们国家正在进行着又一轮迅猛的城镇化建设，我们正在以另世界惊讶的速度将自己包裹在钢铁和水泥的丛林中。我们每天都在为自己前进的脚步而骄傲，或是为自己的未来而操劳，对于下一代，我们更多的关心他们是不是有健康的食物和奶粉，会不会得到良好的教育资源，能不能在和同龄人的激烈竞争中脱颖而出，而完全忽视了他们和自然的接触。实际上，很多时候我们浮躁的心态让我们无法静下心来带着孩子去亲近自然。——来自一位孩子家长那么，在中国，我们会是“林间最后的小孩”吗？我们的孩子又将何去何从？

景观设计师应该具为儿童提供环境教育场所的设计能力与社会责任。项目立足环境教育、城市森林与风景园林三个学科理论，建立了一套基于环境教育理论的规划设计调查评估程序。团队基于97个保护地的环境教育（宣传教育）基地作为前期研究样本，共收集84份评估报告、召开社区、专家、官员等各类座谈研讨会议十余次。项目研究数据源于国家林业和草原局研究项目。

Landscape architects should have the design ability and social responsibility to provide environmental education places for children. Based on the theories of environmental education, urban forest and landscape architecture, the project established a program of planning and design investigation and evaluation based on the theories of environmental education. Based on 97 environmental education (publicity and education) bases in protected areas, the team collected a total of 84 assessment reports and held more than 10 discussions and seminars on community, experts and officials. The project data were obtained from the national bureau of forestry and grassland research project.

本项目建设区域位于北京市延庆区妫河上游地段，场地现状是一片以杨树林为主要树种的城市森林，处于西边的夏都桥与东边的日上桥之间。项目研究范围约26.25hm2，毗邻延庆体育公园、夏都公园和妫河森林公园。

The construction area of the project is located in the upper part of GUI river in yanqing district of Beijing. The site status is an urban forest with poplar trees as the main tree species, which is located between xiadu bridge in the west and sunshang bridge in the east. The research scope of the project is about 26.25hm2, which is adjacent to yanqing sports park, xiadu park and GUI river forest park.

项目组对于该地块的设计愿景是：成为重建儿童与自然关系的媒介载体。在此之前，设计师希望最大化减少对土地的影响，通过最少的工程量，来实现儿童与自然以及场地的联系。 （1）保留现存所有树木，大部分区域作为自然演替区。 （2）所有景观空间都以最小化的干预方式介入现有场地。 （3）充分尊重孩子、家长、老师等公众意愿，设计了森林课堂、大自然剧场、自然观察路径、手绘攀爬墙、森林乐园等自然教育场所。 （4）为动物设计来众多微型栖息地，增加生态多样性，提升生态物种弹性，提高其长期存活的能力。

The project team’s vision for the site is to become a vehicle for reconstructing the relationship between children and nature. Before that, the designer wanted to minimize the impact on the land, and to achieve the connection between children and nature and the site with the least amount of engineering work. (1) Keep all the existing trees, and most areas are natural succession areas. (2) All landscape Spaces are involved in the existing site in a minimized way. (3) Fully respect the public will of children, parents and teachers, and design the forest classroom, nature theater, nature observation path, hand-painted climbing wall, forest park and other natural education places. (4) Many micro-habitats are designed for animals to increase ecological diversity, enhance the resilience of ecological species and improve their long-term survival ability.
