Cityfarm is a temporary concept store for the Christmas period of 2016, conceived to promote the brands belonging to Genagricola Spa (agriculture branch of Generali Group). The purpose of the store was the sale of fine Italian wines and the typical milanese dessert for Christmas “Panettone”, produced by historical pastry Taveggia and signed by starred chefs Andrea Berton, Moreno Cedroni, Felice Lo Basso and Luca Marchini.
The project consists in plant adaptations and refitting of about 300 square meters in a historical building in the heart of Milan, protected by the Superintendency of Architectural Heritage. The purpose was to ensure correct functional operations (production processes, flows and services) and to encourage the sale of food products in the 3 months period of store’s operation. It was also intended to serve natural foods in the typical ways of street-food, through the sell of lunch-boxes of different "sizes" (for 1, 2 or 4 people) to be consumed inside the store, in spaces specifically set up, or as a take-away or delivery product.
The store is distributed on 3 levels: the ground floor, with entrances, is intended for display and sale; the first floor houses the kitchen, accessory spaces and services for the customers, and is intended for consumption, promotion and tasting activities; the basement houses the services for employees and storage.
