Gerard Taylor Design was engaged by furniture manufacturer, Orangebox Smartworking, to design their offices and showroom located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
UK-based furniture designer and manufacturer, Orangebox have seen significant growth across the Middle East over the past five years. Therefore, choosing the United Arab Emirates as the home of their newest showroom was a logical step forward to support their growing client base in the region. Orangebox Smartworking, Dubai was designed by their internal Creative Director, Gerard Taylor and the fitout works were executed by Xworks Interiors.
For such a landmark occasion, choosing the right location was critical and nowhere represents Orangebox’s brand values better than Dubai’s brand new D3 community. The 1,800 sq. ft space represents a variety of different work settings, not only to showcase the company’s product portfolio but also to allow their clients to use those settings, productively, if needed.
A multitude of work settings sits at the very heart of Smartworking; so large welcoming project tables rub shoulders with more private booths for focus. The space offers a mix of private pods for confidentiality and softer, lounge settings for teams to break away and work.
The client understands that the contemporary workplace is softening its aesthetic. Hence you will see there are custom chandeliers, with a variety of lampshades, and an array of eclectic rugs in the space – all designed to welcome and relax its users.
Orangebox Smartworking is a collaboration that has achieved a true smart-working space – one that reflects their brand and culture.
