This 75 sqm apartment is located in the historic center of Moscow, in one of the buildings that is an architectural landmark of the city, distinguished by the highest parade arch. Our studio was approached by a young family who wanted to gift their parents this renovated apartment.

设计项目的主要想法是为这套已经换过几任主人的老公寓注入新的活力。我们有兴趣复制许多开发商和公寓业主的经验，即在翻新过程中，保留原有的古典元素（布局、灰泥），同时用现代材料和家具更新室内装饰。

The main idea of the design project was to breathe new life into the old apartment, which had changed several owners. We were interested in replicating the experience of many developers and apartment owners in historic houses of European capitals, where, during the renovation, the original classical elements (layout, stucco) are preserved while updating the interior with modern materials and furnishings.

最初，公寓的天花板很高，房间的布局也很美观，自1940年建成以来，这种布局一直被保留了下来。这种布局自然对家具摆放造成了一些限制。由于不可能进行重新规划，我们只能恢复卧室的原有空间，卧室被前房主分割成两个小区域，并配有专门的衣柜。

Initially, the apartment had beautiful high ceilings and an enfilade arrangement of rooms, which has been preserved since the building was constructed in 1940. This layout naturally imposed some restrictions on furniture placement. Since re-planning was not possible, we limited ourselves to restoring the original volume of the bedroom, which had been divided by previous owners into two small areas with a dedicated wardrobe.

由于预算充足，加上客户愿意使用高贵的天然装饰材料，翻新后的公寓看起来体面、美观、现代。我们特别引以为豪的是壁炉入口，它占据了客厅的中心位置。当我们了解到要在这里建造法式小公寓时，就萌生了建造壁炉的想法，我们非常感谢客户对这一想法的支持。壁炉由天然大理石制成，具有自然的纹理，是营造 "巴黎 "客厅氛围的关键因素。

Thanks to the budget and the clients' willingness to use noble natural finishing materials, the apartment looks respectable, aesthetic, and modern after renovation. Our particular pride is the fireplace portal, which took a central place in the living room. The idea of a fireplace emerged as soon as we understood that we would develop the scenario of a French pied-a-terre here, and we are grateful to the clients for supporting this idea. Made of natural marble with a natural expressive texture, it became a key element in creating the right mood for our "Parisian" living room.

通过简洁而精致的天然材料组合，营造出卧室的温馨氛围。在墙壁上，我们选用了法国Pierre Frey工厂生产的具有原始亚麻质感的独家壁纸，床头柜选用了具有异国情调的单板，衣柜面板则选用了丝绸。在浴室中，特别引人注目的是专门为该项目订购的意大利大理石Calacatta Viola。这种材料与时尚的41zero42 垂直瓷砖相结合，使浴室空间引人注目。

Coziness in the bedroom was created through concise but sophisticated combinations of natural materials. For the walls, we chose exclusive wallpapers from the French factory Pierre Frey with an original linen texture, as well as exotic veneer for bedside tables and silk for wardrobe fronts. In the bathroom, special attention is drawn to the Italian marble Calacatta Viola, ordered specifically for the project. Combining this material with stylish vertical tiles 41zero42 made the bathroom space striking.
