The pizza bar Przyjemnosc (eng. “Pleasure”) is located in a small place with a large glass site facing a street in the center of Warsaw. The area of only 30 m2 has a separate kitchen, washing room, toilet and a guest area with up to 24 seats.
Due to the large height of the room (5 m) in relation to the small area, the main clever idea for the division was to put up only one wall that does not reach the ceiling and leaves the space visually open. Behind a characteristic wall reminiscent of a small building with a window and a steel awning there is a washing room and a toilet. The kitchen, on the other hand, has been separated by a designed bar where you can also sit.
All furnishings, i.e. a bar, tables, bench and lamps have been designed and made individually for this place. The most characteristic element is the orange chandelier hanging above the common table, 2.5 m long, which emphasizes the height of the room.
Square ceramic tiles that surround the interior up to the wall height in the middle add an original and warm atmosphere. The tiles are arranged alternately in glossy and matte stripes, and with a color gradient from dark to light, like the degree of baking a pizza dough.
Contrasting colors and shapes have been complemented with noble materials - granite and marble, which together create a loose interpretation of non-obvious Italian inspirations.
