The wild trail is an interactive natural walk in the wild center, a non-profit organization and a natural center dedicated to helping people explore and understand the natural environment of adirondacks.
The wild trail was built in the forest and designed as an elevated bridge, creating a learning landscape. Bring visitors to the treetops to provide a new view of the forest.

Steel is an outstanding material because it is durable and its changing palette is integrated into the forest. Use galvanized steel where corten is expensive to use. The project is funded by state and individual donations, so the budget is strict and has to be maintained.
Designers, manufacturers and architects work together in the whole design and construction process to ensure that the budget is met. wild walk is realized as a design and construction project, because adirondacks has a short construction season and time is crucial. Considering the complexity of geometry, the whole project ( including all steel components ) has been digitally modeled in 3d. The digital model was given to the contractor and many parts ( including all bridges ) were prefabricated in the shop before the construction season.
