HSPC Health Architects have completed the first stage of two in designing the world-class Epping Private Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
The challenging brief required a fully self-sufficient start-up hospital – including 24 single bedrooms, sleep study, 3 theatres, endoscopy, CSSD, day of surgery admissions, full kitchen facilities and admin/exec space – to be fit-out within an existing medical consulting space. Realising the project from concept planning to hand-over in just 12 months, HSPC were successful in overcoming the significant complexities of retrofitting the new acute hospital into an established consulting building through clear, effective collaboration across a close team of consultants, client and builder. HSPC have since been engaged to complete the 300 bed Stage 2 project.
