For its office on South Congress in Austin, Tritium Partners celebrated its culture of being a private equity firm full of energetic rising stars while balancing its workspace with practical and modest design. Gensler created a light-filled headquarters with closed offices pulled off of the perimeter and equipped with glass fronts and clerestories. Strategically placed meeting and social spaces take advantage of the building’s striking views and outdoor terrace. The team leveraged the client’s moniker, Tritium, a rare, radioluminescent element that consumes little energy to emit light, as a source of inspiration to enliven the space. Hints of luminescence occur in materials throughout the office, while the statement piece, a cluster of large gold-lined light pendants in the work café, provides a glowing beacon that is visible from the street level.
