Design proposals for the detailed plan of the Kernave tract accesses in Vilnius

Final thesis examines the area in Vilnius, the southern part of Snipiskes district, which lies between Linkmenu, Zalgirio, Giedraiciu streets and Konstitucijos avenue. The aim of the thesis is to develop an urban development concept and a detailed plan. 

The main problem of this part of the city is an architectural structure that does not have a clear urban spatial system and taints the image of Vilnius in both qualitative and aesthetic sense. The thesis proposes to prepare an arrangement model of the urban spatial system of the southern part of Snipiskes district, which would match with an urban form and a silhouette of the new Vilnius center. It should also preserve and improve the image of the city, as well as give the citizens and city guests new urban public spaces.
