13 Bootleg è il locale nel centro di Palermo dedicato alla degustazione e vendita di distillati con annessa cigar room.

L'idea progettuale è quella di offrire un ambiente per intenditori dove gustare un buon sigaro e un distillato scelto da un’accurata selezione, in un ambiente accogliente che guarda alla tradizione delle cigar lounge statunitensi dei primi anni ’30.

Il locale ha la doppia veste di negozio durante il giorno, e locale di consumazioni la sera, sottolineata da una doppia entrata. Lo spazio contenuto in 58 mq con uno sviluppo longitudinale, prevede subito dopo l'ingresso un ampia area espositiva che propone su scaffalature disegnate da DiDeA più di 350 tipi di distillati; al centro una piccola postazione con 4 sedute e un tavolino per la degustazione. Qui l’illuminazione è filtrata da un controsoffitto in rovere e plexiglas opalino che permette di regolare al meglio la luce. Proseguendo si incontra il bancone, posizionato al centro del locale di fronte al secondo ingresso, ed Illuminato da tre lampade sospese in vetro ambrato che diffondono una luce morbida. Alla fine del locale, si incontra la cigar room separata dal resto attraverso una parete vetrata. Qui un semplice arredo di poltrone Chesterfield e alcuni punti luce attende i clienti con una selezione accurata di sigari.

La scelta dei materiali, in particolare il legno (con rovere tabacco e legno laccato nero) e i tessuti in pelle insieme all’illuminazione e a pochi arredi, è stata studiata per evocare un’atmosfera calda e vintage.

13 Bootleg is the new venue in downtown Palermo dedicated to tasting and selling distillates with an adjacent cigar room

The idea is to offer a connoisseur setting to enjoy a good cigar and a brandy or a whisky chosen by a careful selection, in a welcoming environment that looks to the tradition of cigar American lounges of the early '30s. The place is both a shop during the day and it becomes a bar at evenings. This double role is underlined by two different entrances The small space only 58 square meters has a longitudinal development. Just after the entrance there is a large exhibition area : more than 350 types of spirits on shelves designed by DiDeA; at the center of this area a small table with 4 chairs offers a seat for tasting. Here the light is filtered by an oak and plexiglas ceiling that allows to adjust the light. Then we reach the counter, positioned at the center of the room in front of the second entrance, and enlightened by three hanging lamps in amber glass that spread a soft light. At the end of the space, we find the cigar room separated by a glass wall. Here a simple decor of Chesterfield armchairs and few lamps welcoms the guests with a fine selection of cigars.

The choice of materials, expecially wood (with tobacco oak and black lacquered wood) and the leather wovens, together with lighting and few furnishing pieces is meant to evoke warm, vintage atmosphere.
