该项目所在地是巴黎的第十三个行政区，设计团队是来自德国的1010团队，他们对一条繁华的公路进行改造设计，使之成为一条具有光学效果的奇幻公路。据悉，该公路上的设计图案被命名为“le peripherique”，该图案是一个三维的错视图案，立体感很强，而且十分逼真，位于人行道上。为了完成该图案，设计团队花费了大概400公升的油漆，创造了一副多彩有趣的大型火山喷口图，该喷口似乎就在路面上，来来往往的车辆都会穿过火山口，然后继续向前行驶。该匿名的艺术家的这次图案设计面积为4500平方米，占据了该公路的绝大部分面积。每一层的颜色设计都有它自身的意义----由浅蓝色到红色，再到橘红色和紫色，最终到达黑暗的火山喷口。由于它本身的光学效果，若人们从上方看的话会更加逼真，能够看清楚整个火山喷口的构造。

within paris’ 13th arrondissement, german artist 1010 has transformed a busy highway into an optical illusion. ‘le peripherique’ is a three-dimensional, trompe l’oeil artwork presented on the pavement, whose 400 liters of paint used give the illusion that a huge colorful crater is opening into the ground between passing traffic. the anonymous artist’s most recent urban intervention covers 4500 m2 of asphalt, spanning a huge surface of the popular motorway.each of the colorful layers appear to unearth each other — light blue leads in to red, orange and purple, eventually leading into the dark ‘bottom’ of the crater. because of its optical effect, ‘le peripherique’ is best viewed from above, where the eye can understand the three-dimensional illusion taking place.
