After 'Casa Um', the first guesthouse in the Portuguese countryside, theAddresses now launches its second guesthouse 'Casa Dois'. This former fish warehouse was transformed into a charming town house with southern charm in the heart of the fishing village of Olhão. The high ceilings of the former armazèm give this house a bright, airy and relaxed atmosphere. From the patio, a beautiful outdoor staircase leads up to the roof terrace, where you can catch a glimpse of the Ria Formosa and be surrounded by the cosy buzz of the southern Portuguese life. Casa Dois was renovated by the award-winning Portuguese architectural firm Atelier Rua with a carefully curated interior by the creative studio Studio Stories.

The result of years of shared passion and many trips to the Algarve by theAddresses founders, Bert and Ludovic, who now wish to share all their addresses and experiences with like-minded friends and guests.

With The Portugal Collection, Bert has been supplying the best Portuguese wines to top restaurants in Belgium for years. Ludovic is active as Creative Director in the world of music and entertainment. Together they founded 'The Madeira Collection', a unique collection of vintage Madeira wines. The two share a common love for Portuguese culture, nature, modo de vida and of course Portuguese wines and cuisine.

Each of the houses at theAddresses has its own story and is located in an authentic location. Thanks to a collaboration with the best Portuguese architectural firms and the meticulous composition of the interior, each house is situated in an area where old and new collide, and you can enjoy the comfort of a stylish hotel. Each room has its own bathroom, there is always a large outdoor area or garden with swimming pool, and you will find a nice selection of objects, products and books everywhere. To enjoy on holiday, or to take home with you.

Casa Dois

This former fish warehouse in the heart of the fishing village of Olhão was converted into a charming town house with southern charm. The high spaces of the former armazèm give this house a light, modern but above all relaxed atmosphere. These features and the surrounding pedestrian zone make it a perfect place for seclusion and relaxation, while it is located in the heart of the Algarve's largest fishing port – the salty and soulful Olhão, a fishing village a quarter of an hour from Faro Airport. Casa Dois is therefore the place to be for foodies who enjoy buying and preparing fresh seafood dishes.

Situated in a working fishing village, it is only logical that the houses are steeped in a history rich in fish. This renovation by Atelier Rua includes two floors and two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The property benefits from a large influx of natural light, which enters through a row of beautifully preserved arches that give access to the patio, a small green oasis surrounded by whitewashed walls, including a refreshing plunge pool. From the patio an external staircase leads up to the roof terrace, which offers views of the Ria Formosa and the flat roofs of Olhão. When the sun sets, you can also dine there, surrounded by the cosy murmur of southern Portuguese life.

Olhão, known as the capital of the Ria Formosa, is the perfect starting point to explore this enchanting natural park and its sandy islands. Casa Dois is located 100 metres from the Algarve's largest fish market and 80 metres from the taxi boats to the most beautiful deserted islands. 15 minutes from Faro Airport.
