该项目场位于葡萄牙，是由设计师mezzo atelier来完成的。自然风景中不乏群山环绕，大小湖泊粼粼，无边无际的蓝色海洋以及如棉花的白云，自然风景虽然美丽，却非常容易迷失方向。将自我感知融入到大自然是非常困难的，更别说将自己与宇宙结合在一起了。

该项目位于葡萄牙亚速尔群岛中的圣米格尔岛，这里有一个美丽的湖泊，名叫sete cidades湖。目标景观长度约为7米，是由mezzo atelier来完成的，主要是为了让那些喜欢旅游的人能够时刻认识到自己所在的位置和方向。该装置也被称为是当地的土地艺术装置，位于蓝色的湖畔，它其实是一个座椅庄子，是由日本柳杉木梁建造而成的，柔软的杉木为人们提供了一个舒适的环境来欣赏周边的美景。黑白相间的长椅的一部分子在组装完成后被碳化，这是日本的一种木材形势，这样的话对大自然的抵抗力会更强一点。

it’s easy to lose track of yourself when surrounded by landscapes of mountains, lakes, oceans and clouds. confronted with the enormity of nature, it becomes difficult to contextualize your sense of self — and that’s before you start thinking about the size of the universe.

situated at the lakeshore of the blue lake of sete cidades on sao miguel island in the azores, a seven meter long graphical scale, designed by mezzo atelier, is helping nature goers get some perspective. dubbed the ‘landscale’, the installation was mezzo atelier’s response to an invitation to create a piece for LAPA — land art project azores — at the edge of the water. the seat was crafted from cryptomeria japonica wooden beams, a very soft japanese cedar which was introduced in the past to the azorean islands. the black and white contrast of the bench was created by partially carbonising the beams after they were assembled. this process of burning wood surfaces, called ‘shou sugi ban’ was created in japan specifically for this type of wood, giving it a higher resistance to the effects of nature.
