HED renovated the library into the state-of-the-art Mariposa Hall at Los Angeles Trade Technical College in Los Angeles, California.
Like their contents and community roles, library’s physical structures must also adapt and evolve to meet the changing needs, expectations and functionalities of a 21st-century, digital society. This philosophy drove the redesign, renovation and expansion of the Los Angeles Trade Technical College Learning Resource Center (LRC), transforming an outdated library into a campus centerpiece.
The completed renovation is a fully modernized, state-of-the-art facility for the College’s Library, Media Services and Network Operations Center, combining beauty, functionality and technology into a sleek, LEED Gold testament to adaptive reuse—and to keeping pace with progress.
