Hon Interiors was tasked with completing the Karelin Hotel to have functional and stylish guest bedrooms to give the boutique experience a timeless and modern feel.
The Karelin hotel is a boutique hotel, which is located in a historical building in Veliky Novgorod.
Our team had a goal to create a timeless interior, mixing decorative elements and modern details. Having known about Novgorod’s gray climate, we’ve chosen a bright palette for the hotel: crimson, orange, terracotta, shades of red.
A decorative headboard is the main focus of the room. In some rooms, we added an upholstered orange headboard besides the main one. Most of the things in that interior have been made by local manufactures: a line wall lamp made of brass and black metal, black blot-shaped lights, a storage system in a minimalist style, side tables made of concrete. We’ve given preferences to materials with haunted textures and prints: veneer shits, rattan, stucco, printed carpet, mosaic, terrazzo tile.
