Pacific Place, a full-scale retail center redevelopment project in Seattle, creates a new destination that intrigues and pulls visitors through the space, from both the reconfigured southwest corner entrance located on the downtown retail corridor, and the new South Lake Union-facing grand entrance. The retail center design concept weaves the quintessential natural elements of the Pacific Northwest — the Cascade Mountains, rain, forest, and water bodies of the Puget Sound — in order to lure visitors into the center, entice them to circulate vertically within the center, and tempt them to circulate horizontally around the floor. Each element is emotive, offering unique experiences geared towards four targeted guest types including the Amazon worker, the city dweller, the tourist, and the mom with kids.
