Phoebe Nicol strikes a delicate balance by combining old with new. A delicate balancing act of marrying the old and new. There is a touch of luxe introduced through various antique pieces. The main dining and living spaces are playful and incorporate added colour, textures and art. The bedrooms are soft and subdued.

Phoebe Nicol’ve worked with local artisans to have custom made furniture and fittings sit effortlessly in this interior. The brass fixtures and fittings give a sense of inherent quality.

Studio wanted to use materials which gain patina with age and become more beautiful over time. They’ve also sourced beautiful and unique antique pieces which add a certain authenticity to the space, after all every home needs at least one antique.

Studio wanted to maximize every inch of usable space to ensure they capitalized on functionality. The most challenging part of the design was incorporating a new master ensuite into the existing roof space. The powder room was designed and crafted from a magnificent piece of Statuario marble.
