壮族是广西众多少数民族中人口最多的一个，以其谦逊和好客的文化而闻名。由于农业是他们的主要生计来源，能歌善舞的壮族人用音乐和舞蹈向整个耕作和收获的过程致敬。铜鼓舞祈求雨水用来灌溉，舞龙和烟花庆祝丰收，举行街头盛宴来享受他们的劳动成果。

南宁万丽的设计概念是壮族部落从雨季开始到庆祝丰收的故事。当客人下榻酒店时，壮族的生活场景便拉开帷幕。

Zhuang is the most populous of the many minorities in Guangxi known for their humble and hospitable culture.  As agriculture is their main source of livelihood, the boisterous people of the Zhuang tribe pay tribute to the entire process of cultivation and harvest with music and dance.  The bronze drum brings the rain for irrigation, the dragon dance and fireworks to harvest celebration and the street feast to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

The design narrative of Renaissance NanNing is the story of the Zhuang tribe starting from the raining season to the celebration of harvest.  Scenes unfold themselves as guests journey through the hotel.

南宁万丽酒店的入住体验从雨季开始。在进入大厅之前，客人首先通过垂直玻璃棒的“雨”门厅。 The arrival experience into the Renaissance NanNing starts with the raining season. Guests walk through the “raining” foyer dripping with vertical glass rods before entering the Lobby.

接待柜台后面雕塑般的特色墙让人联想起梯田，上方的天花雕塑是在梯田上空舞动的龙云。 A sculptural feature wall behind the reception counters reminds one of the terraced fields, the overhead ceiling sculpture is the dragon cloud dancing above the fields.

当壮族人表演雨鼓时，雨点的波纹与鼓声共振。带有变色灯的同心圆环装饰着R-bar的墙壁。仔细一看，每一个圆环上都印着壮族用于雨鼓舞的铜鼓的解构图像。 Ripple waves from raindrops and drumming resonate across when the Zhuang performs the rain drum dance. Concentric rings with colour changing lights adorn the walls of the R-bar. Upon closer look, each ring is printed with a deconstructed image of the bronze drums that Zhuang use for the rain drum dance.

在全日餐厅，街头盛宴的场景被金属和玻璃制成的抽象的乡土建筑立面所重现，自助餐区被演绎为村庄的集市。 At the All Day Dining, the scene of the street feast is recreated with abstracted vernacular architecture facades made of metal and glass with the buffet area interpreted as the market of the village.

每临节庆和重要集会，人们总喜欢欢聚一团燃放烟花来庆祝，宴会厅的灵感便来源于此。 The inspiration for the banquet hall comes from the fireworks to celebrate every festival and important gathering.

中餐厅的设计灵感来自于村庄的当地属性。乡土元素形成斑驳的墙壁，油纸伞启发了主座位区的天花灯光，以及彩色壁画讲述着祖先们以捕鱼和农耕为生的浪漫生活。 Local attributes of the village inspired the design of the Chinese Restaurant. Vernacular elements form mottled walls, umbrellas that inspired the ceiling light feature of the main seating area and the colorful wall mural that tell the romantic life of the ancestors who made a living by fishing and farming.

Maison Ribeye是南宁万丽的特色西餐厅。一些特定的元素，如黑、白和蓝的配色，网格地砖，灯光和家具给餐厅带来巴黎街边咖啡馆的熟悉感觉。然而，仔细看一下墙上的巴黎抽象地图，就会发现街道上布满了壮族服饰的织物图案。这种东西方的交织和融合使这家餐厅在这个酒店和地区都是独一无二的。 Maison Ribeye is the specialty Western Restaurant of Renaissance NanNing. Certain elements such as the black, white and blue colour scheme, the gridded floor tiles, the lights and furniture give the Restaurant the familiar feel of a Parisian sidewalk café. However a closer look at the Paris map wall art reveals street blocks filled in with the fabric pattern of the Zhuang costume. This interweaving and fusion of the East and West makes this Restaurant unique to this hotel and location.

公共区域讲述的是丰收的故事，而客房楼层则讲述的是壮族编织工艺的故事。不同的编织技术用不同的元素来诠释。在电梯厅，光线通过蓝色和红色的窄束光线重叠而交织在一起。这交织的光线贯穿整个走廊，与走廊的编织地毯相呼应。从像素化的电梯门玻璃墙到每个客房入口的投影，扶桑花—南宁市花依稀可见。 Whilst the public areas tell the narrative of harvest, the guestroom floors tell the story of the weaving craft of the Zhuang people. The different techniques of weaving are interpreted using different elements. At the lift lobby, light is woven by casting narrow beams of blue and red rays to overlap. This interwoven light runs through the whole corridor, echoing the woven carpet of the corridor. Fusang – the city flower of NanNing is faintly discernible from the pixilation on the glass wall of the lift doors to the projection at every guestroom entrance.

编织的概念一直延续到客房内部，解构后的编织图案不仅体现在地面铺装，背景墙和地毯，在灯光的处理上也大放异彩。 The concept of weaving continues into the interior of the guest room, where the deconstructed woven pattern is not only reflected in the floor tiles, background wall and carpet, but also yield unusually brilliant results in the treatment of the lighting.
