Residential Building
The project consists of the design of a residential building located in the downtown area of Buenos Aires. The building offers units with 2, 3, and 4 rooms, along with a coworking space intended for offices, two multipurpose rooms, and accessible terraces for the users. The ground floor is reserved for commercial spaces, such as cafes and bars.
A block courtyard has been incorporated into the design, interacting harmoniously with the building to achieve the best possible relationship for the users. Access to the courtyard from the street is facilitated by a semi-covered area generated by the coworking offices, and in turn, access to the building is linked to the block courtyard.
The building has been designed to adapt to the neighboring party walls and comply with construction regulations regarding height. Care has been taken to ensure that all units receive adequate natural light, alternating walls and carpentry on the facade to avoid monotony. Additionally, the walls are set back from the facade to create an overhang that protects the units from sunlight and provides greater comfort to the users.
The importance of the block courtyard as a necessary green space in the downtown area is highlighted, allowing users to enjoy green areas in the middle of the city. Likewise, from the units, views of this space can be appreciated, fostering a connection with nature within the urban environment.
