Manifattura is a cocktail bar, located in a small square in the centre of Florence, where drinks are mixed only with Italian products. The concept takes inspiration from the Italian design of 50s, decade of rebirth before the economic boom of the 60s. In particular to Masters Gio Ponti and Carlo Scarpa for the use of materials as brass, marble and dark wood that identify the interiors of the cocktail bar.
The entrance is hidden by a perforated metal door that proposes, in a simplified and modern key, the negative pattern of the typical studded door so common in the historical buildings of Florence. The entrance hosts a small winter garden with two full height green walls.
The main element in the lounge area is the bar counter with marble top and the back wall with antiquated mirror finish and vertical brass blades where liquor bottles are displayed on glass shelves. Vertical brass elements are repeated in the lower part of the bar counter and in the opposite wall mirror furniture.
Brass inserts are also used in the wooden and marble tables. The broken line is the "fil rouge" of the project from the tables and the vertical elements, to the design of brass blades elements on mirror walls and the lighting fixtures on the bar counter. All furniture and lighting fixtures are designed and custom made
