Fuse Games had outgrown their shared office space and wanted to find a permanent office of their own that they could call home. The gaming company were undergoing a period of rapid growth and were looking to establish themselves in a branded workspace that would house their expanding teams. They opted to take an office space in Guildford that had already been space planned by our designer for the landlord. We worked with the client to make minor tweaks to the existing layout so it could be shaped around their organisation.
As a creative company, our client had a good understanding of the design process themselves, meaning we were able to go through a tech-free collaborative process with the client using only sketches of the office space as they could happily visualise the space in this way without the need for CGI or visuals. As a result, we were able to reduce time spent on design development allowing Fuse Games to move into their office space as soon as possible.
Designed for flexibility, the office space remains open plan but is split into a main desking area supported by meeting rooms, and a breakout space which sits at the back of house. This open plan space allows Fuse Games to hold all-team meetings whilst also providing social space away from employee workstations. An additional gaming area is housed in the breakout, which can be utilised for games testing or informal gaming sessions to give staff space to relax and interact.
