In the years 2007 and 2008 the old-established traditional Swiss tourist brand Kuoni under- went a complete relaunch. Due to their rela- tively radical commitment to a highly modern brand image it was necessary to reconceive the Kuoni travel stores in the major cities of the world. The design used for these flagship stores set an international benchmark in the travel sales business.
With over 100 years of corporate tradition Ku- oni is a worldwide synonym for high-quality travelling. The Swiss travel agent with its nu- merous branch office is present throughout the whole of Europe and, as one of the largest corporations on the international travel mar- ket, has set new benchmarks with its thorough brand relaunch.
The entrance stairs originating from the 50ies provide a significant old element which fit into the concept. An antique apothecary chest has been used as a concierge desk to underline the classical design. A collection of antique globes in the inspirational area as well as weighty lea- ther sofas perpetuate the concept consistently. The consulting tables are also classically alig- ned, which can however be changed around to suit various purposes. The customer and the advisor can communicate across a corner or together at one end of the table. The lounge area provides additional space for events.
