ACADEMIC LIFE是一家出售装裱艺术品以及文具的零售店,位于日本东京,于2009年10月30日开张。这家店是为了重新发现艺术的价值,并且将艺术带进我们的生活所开。在这家店里面找到的所有艺术品背后都有一个故事,能够激发顾客的好奇心。在这些作品背后有艺术家的形象、想象等,都能开阔你的眼界。这家店是由设计师Ichiro Nishiwaki完成的,店的室内以及表面都是为了增加其不管在白天还是黑夜的可见性。为了明确商店里面的艺术品的象征个性,在墙上和地板上还装有LED灯。地板上的LED灯,有的就好像地毯的图案,图案反应在展览区镜子装饰的表面,给顾客一种变幻无常的感觉。每种材料在黑色背景下都显得十分统一,只有大门漆成了玫红色,增加了可见性和时尚感。

ACADEMIC LIFE, the retail shop which sells framed arts and stationery products, was opened in Daikanyama area in Tokyo, Japan on October 30th, 2009. The shop was founded to rediscover the value of arts and bring that closer to our lives. Every art you find in it has its own story and fires up your intellectual curiosity. Artists’ identity, imagination, or episodes behind their works broaden your perspective and what is more make yourself want to become an artist.
The shop was designed by Japanese interior designer, Ichiro Nishiwaki. The facade and interior design of the shop is dedicated to enhance both daytime and nighttime visibility, taking advantage of its structure. In order to clarify symbolic character of framed arts and the shop frameworks, LEDs are arranged as lines on floors and walls.
The LED lines on the floor, which have carpet-like patterns, gives ever-changing impression to the customers when its patterns are reflected on mirror finished surfaces of display stands. Every material is uniformed in black color but only the entrance gate is constructed in rose pink that expresses more visibility and higher fashionability.
