Villa Tessier is situated in the center of Mirano, a town famous for its parks and venetian villas. The building is protected by the Italian law for historical and cultural heritage. It has a typical seventeenth-century rectangular plant with a central hall, with well preserved wooden beam and venetian floors. The works of conservative restoration mostly affected the façades, strongly degraded, and were led under the supervision of the Monument ad Fine Arts Office for Venetian Villas for more than 6 months. The used techniques were both traditional, for the restoration of historical wooden and Istrian stone elements, and modern, to solve the problem of dampness.
