Our project was born with the aim of reconnecting with nature and rediscovering ourselves through the silence and beauty of the landscape. An amazing experience that we decided to share with our guests.
This is how in 2019 we decided to build up three geodesic spheres in the heart of the authentic Alta Langa, away from the chaos of the city in our 10-hectare wood next to the main residence, a XVIIIth century farmhouse.
Gaia's Spheres is a sustainable and responsible project, which combines immersion in nature with comfort and charm. The spheres are designed according to the dimensions and made of steel tubes held together with bolts that form triangular elements. The 20 square meters hemispherical structures offer optimal weight redistribution and resistance in any weather condition. Covered by nautical PVC, the spheres are equipped with thermal insulation, a solar fan, a fireplace and multiple windows. A front window takes 1/3 of the total surface and the transparent vault allows the eyes to count the stars.
The spheres are placed on the typical terraces of the Langhe from which you can enjoy a magnificent view over the valley and they are completely immersed in the surrounding environment. Each sphere is placed on a wooden platform and offers a comfortable double bed and a relaxing area where guests can have a glass of wine while admiring the landscape in every season.
The private bathroom is equipped with all comforts and located a few steps from its own sphere, in the main farmhouse. Guests can relax in many outdoor spaces made to enjoy the experience of connecting with nature at best. They only have to take off their shoes and walk on the dew listening to the roar of the fawns.
An idea that has received amazing feedback and that today can be part of the new reality called Glamping, Gaia’s Spheres takes its name from our first child and Mother Earth in Greek mythology.
