The proposal consists of mobile, polymorphic, sustainable urban and architectural interventions, enhancing the existing public transport while marginalizing the automobile and revitalizing the existing public spaces and derelict buildings to be regenerated throughout the greater extents of the inner city centre and the Historical Triangle. Thus the transitional coexistence of old and new urban infrastructure with low impact architectural interventions, embraces and expands the existing city points of interest, while redefining the flow, direction, circulation and traffic of public transport and pedestrian accessibility. The architectural interventions guided by the principles of environmental planning, sustainability, mobility, resilience and mutating concepts, conform, adapt, respond to and assimilate the functions, uses, aesthetics, ecologic and economic principles of the respective urban approach. Hence, the mobile, polymorphic, transformable urban and architectural grid hosts multiple functions and services, adapting and relating to the various periods in time (past, present and future) of a historical but constantly evolving city. Expanding or retracting, horizontally and/or vertically, in order to multiply and/or reduce, be transported and/or removed, adapting to circumstances and necessities, this environmental, ecologic and economic proposal is a concept of undefined permanence, reducing risks in the event of unexpected and/or problematic results, while introducing new functions, services and uses across the wider area within and/or outside the Historic Triangle. The urban and architectural mobility, versatility and sustainability, redefine lost public space, reconnect the inner city center with the wider urban area, merge vacant spaces via structured grids, eco-friendly interventions, landscaped extents of environmental, bioclimatic and renewable sources of energy, revitalizing the dormant zones and derelict buildings of the Historical Triangle by creating new destinations of residential, office, retail, commerce and cultural nature, stimulating the coexistence of tradition, history and modernity.
