传统材料与现代技术的完美结合,兼顾环保与可持续性。

Lantenne-Vertière is a rural town located 20km west of Besancon. A major tile is exploited since the seventeenth century. Two characters have marked the history of the town: Albert MIGEON greatly developed production of the eponymous tile and Father Jean Garneret, who stayed at the rectory for more than 50 years (30-90 years). Father Jean Garneret notably worked on the recognition of the rural heritage and is the origin of the museum Comtois houses. Since the departure of the abbot, the buildings remained unoccupied, or over 20 years of vacancy.

The town had previously undertaken some backup jobs to prevent the building from falling into disrepair. She decided to revive this heritage by developing a composite program: 3 homes, a childminders house (or micro-nursery), a small library and a socio-cultural hall. It aims at the outset an ambitious restoration-processing, and is surrounded skills CAUE and DRAC. A project management contest is organized despite the small size of the operation.

A Doctrinal Point of View

As to convert what is usually called the "small heritage", our attitude is to know and renovate such buildings in compliance with the work of our predecessors, without sacrificing modernity. Indeed, we believe that the dialectic which may arise between heritage and modernity is a source of consistency and mutual enrichment. The exemplary renovation of the lies we believe in an intervention that transforms and enhances without destroying the original building.

Development

The two volumes in this package is large enough to accommodate the entire program, the architects decided to add no new construction. The building volume is preserved and appearance is restored using traditional materials and methods:

- Mold small flat tiles like "historic monument" - Zinc roofing accessories - Lime plasters "stone view" - Insulating plasters lime-hemp inside - Oak joinery

For cons, the interior must be adapted to the needs of the program and the architects propose to develop these more transformative and contemporary way spaces. Thus the volume of the attic slender building, previously uninhabitable, went back down exploitable 20cm the attic floor, the volume of the barn will house three complete levels. The ground floor is also lowered by 20cm approx.

New uses requiring more light, new openings are created. For didactic will, these openings nouvauté expressed by their large size and their square proportion, and by the use of corten steel used to highlight all the new interventions: skins skylights and windows in the roof, coaching windows, external staircase, locksmith works ... it is through the use of this material that are projected from time to time outside beyond the walls, roof and façade, the emergence of a more interior modernity.

The housing for the elderly are not the place of displacement exploits. That is why we have chosen to have them in the spa building, where the heights and volumes are most suitable for this use. The barn, the volume and the imposing frame, receives the public portion (ERP) program.

Outdoor Spaces

This rehabilitation project is accompanied by a project on outdoor spaces. The driveway leading from the porch located in the main entrance of the new equipment is lined with a vegetable garden. This first courtyard and garden are common spaces shared. The accommodation has a second private garden in south side. The desired age diversity in the program, should indeed be seen as a possibility, an additional use value and not a constraint.

Architectural Project Approach

Operation

Compliance with the program and the morphology of existing buildings dictate logical locations. - The House of childminders is naturally located on one level, on the ground floor and opens onto the gardens. Children can enjoy safe outdoor spaces. - The volume and the pretty, old barn receive the largest room (association), space capable of accommodating at least once every inhabitant of Lantenne-Vertière. The frame remains fully apparent. We wish we could approach it, to walk, to feel the full force and presence. - In both vaulted more open to the outside on the ground floor of the cure are installed the nap room for Mom and a second associative room, smaller and at the level of needs of the inhabitants of the site. - The library and the exhibition space find their place on the first floor of the barn.

Windows and Light

The windows are placed at selected points of view and very specific reasons. Only three large openings are created in the walls of the barn, which is a savings guarantee.

In the great hall associative, light comes in part from above to illuminate the frame, cut a sky block in the roof. We invented a roof window projecting inside, captures the South light to lead the center of the space.

In the house childminders, we want to create a new report with the garden, establish continuity between inside and outside, and beyond to the distant landscape. A large bay window, is projected on the outside as a room has a view. Children can while being in the thick of this opening, feel closer to the outside and nature.

It seemed important to us to make the ground floor of the barn through the central part. This is why the new opening is placed in the center of the porch, to make visible from the entrance of the equipment throughout the depth of the plot and in the distance the beautiful view of the surrounding countryside.

Some Materials and Technical Details

The roof insulation will be realized over a lath 40x27mm reconstituted so as to provide within a close look from that of an old roof. The very particular way of achieving the lintels and white concrete cap and the banks on zinc gutter walls has been developed in our previous achievements. It is a way of magnifying the ancestral materials (the stone masonry and coverage in small tiles), adapting to new needs (large windows and thick insulation). Using "drywall" seems perfectly anachronistic, especially in the frame or masonry lining.

An intervention in memory of the Abbot Garneret et de Albert Migeon

Honour Abbot Garneret is to respect the values of work and observation have created our heritage is to continue the effort that it had implemented all his life to bear witness, and transmitting preserve what gives authenticity, character and beauty of the old buildings of the Franche Comté. We will be very attentive to how to preserve, restore the fairest way all the elements of the building that are of heritage.

Any more contemporary action only exist in a dialogue with the existing: either by a distancing of the new to better reveal the former or by inserting calculated there or existing permits.

Consideration of Sustainable Developement

Rather than using the latest technological gadgets, special attention will be paid to the physiology of old buildings, to the understanding of thermal and water phenomena characterizing the relationship between the frame and the internal environment of these buildings. The "ready-made" solutions (ITE, triple glazing, air tightness perfect, heat pumps and other Canadian wells, etc ...) will be avoided in favor of a reasoned analysis of the needs and potential of the frame.

The use of photovoltaic seems not at all desirable given us masks that are on the one hand the church and its bell tower and also the big pine. It will be searched simple and economical solutions at the expense of "factories" in vogue.

A collective boiler for wood pellets is in place and a double ventilation heat recovery stream for the portion ERP. The Ground floor, only part of the ERP for permanent occupation is heated by low temperature ground.
