The legendary and modern Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel is located by the Aura River in the heart of Turku. Turku is a city on the southwest coast and it is the oldest city in Finland. Hotel guests can easily go by foot to many of the city's cultural attractions, such as the historic castle and the cathedral just to mention few. Turku is also a hotbed of experimental art and vibrant festivals. The hotel has 184 comfortable rooms and suites and offers a Blu Dreams® experience with Magic Bed® to ensure a good night's sleep. Half of the rooms are facing towards the Aura river and the Turku City Theatre located on the opposite bank of the river. The aim of the project was to bring a touch of luxury into the decor to enhance the overall customer experience. It was equally important for the design narrative to be rooted into both the rich history of the building and the versatile cultural attractions the city has to offer. The hotel interior design renewal project was kicked off in the summer 2016 and the works were completed in the spring of 2017. The renovation was carried out in sections to minimize any inconvenience to the hotel guests. In the process all hotel rooms, the front desk, the lobby lounge and two ground floor meeting rooms were renewed.
