OPENBOOK Architecture recently completed the office design for global business consultancy, KPMG, located in Lisbon, Portugal.
KPMG’s new headquarters in Lisbon, designed by OPENBOOK Architecture, aims to reinforce the brand culture and foster innovation through collaboration. A space that welcomes employees and clients to KPMG’s world, reflecting its confidence and commitment to quality and consistency.
With around 900 employees, spread over 8 floors and a total area of approximately 10000sqm, the workplace is made up of various types of spaces that adjust to the different needs of employees, ranging from open spaces, offices, meeting rooms, creative rooms and teamwork areas to lounges, coffee points, conference rooms and training rooms.
By encouraging a natural sense of movement through a flow strategically designed for this purpose, employees can meet, share ideas and find solutions informally. The multiple social areas are perfect for informal meetings, to catch up with the latest news and refuel caffeine levels.
OPENBOOK Architecture designed a workplace that allows each employee to work and dream big, applying their skills, expertise and passion to enable change and to find solutions for local and global issues. The design added to each square meter of the new KPMG Portugal headquarters aims to put employees in a higher level of engagement with the corporate values and mission.
New world challenges call for disruption and innovation, and KPMG’s workplace reacts to that demand with an environment set to work as a catalyst for creative thinking and change. Following the trends of new generations of workers, space was also designed to be exciting and work as a tool for attracting and retaining talent.
