Canberra Data Centres (CDC) was founded in 2007 with the purpose of being a trusted partner for data centre services. Australian owned and operated, CDC is based in Canberra and since its creation has built four data centers. In December 2015 CDC was awarded the title of ‘Australian Data Centre Provider of the Year’ by leading global technology market research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
In 2015 Climaveneta supplied 2 FX-FC-NG-SL 5204, 2 ERACS2-Q 1162 SL CA, and 1 FX-FC-NG-SL 5402 units for cooling the CDC Fyshwick1 data center in Canberra. The structure has a surface of 5000 m² and power for IT loads of 13.5 MW. It was built for the federal public service and the Dimension Data’s government clients and opened in May 2015.
The efficiency and reliability of Climaveneta’s solution persuaded CDC to install Climaveneta units even at Hume1, their new data center with a 1500 m² surface for a total IT load of 4,5 MW. 2 ERACS2-Q/SL-CA/S 1062 multi-purpose heat pumps and 2 FX-FC/NG/T+/S 5204 air-cooled chillers with free-cooling will be installed soon for a total cooling capacity of 3120kW.
Hume1 project is further proof that Climaveneta’s range presents itself as the ideal solution to match the most demanding requirements of Data centers, both in terms of reliability and efficiency.
