Situated in the heart of St. Petersburg, Faces is a hotel that spans six floors within a building on Malaya Morskaya Street.
A hotel interior shoot is always a challenge for an interior photographer. The thing is that as a rule hotel rooms are small, and the smaller the room, the harder it is to find a great angle for shooting. That was the case this time too :)
During a hotel interior shoot, you need to find a balance between beautiful shots and informative ones. After all, the main task of an interior photographer is to show the hotel as informative and beautiful as possible, so that a potential client will not hesitate to book a room.
On this shoot I needed to shoot 4 hotel rooms in 5 hours. What, 1 hour and 12 minutes for each room.
Since the configuration of the mansard room has its own peculiarities due to the slope of the roof, the designers used volumetric and spatial techniques to organise the space as efficiently as possible.
The designers designed dedicated bathroom volumes, which allowed for a second level in some rooms to accommodate additional sleeping places. Accordingly, if necessary, this room can accommodate four guests.
As always, the devil is in the details. A good photo can always be improved.
